2026 KENYA TEAM TRIP
Daily Schedule + Prayer Points
Time Difference
Since we will be 8-10 hours ahead of you by time zone, it would be a great idea for you to pray one day ahead of your current day. That way you will be covering our upcoming day as it unfolds.
Travel Days to Nairobi
June 17/18 - Wed/Thur — International flights to Nairobi. Pray for safe travels, smooth immigration processes, luggage to make it to destination, strong immunity systems, solid rest on the flights.
June 19/20 -Fri/Sat — Stay in Nairobi until the whole team arrives. Pray for our Nairobi global partners we are staying with, pray for meaningful conversations, team building, unity, time zone adjustments, continued protection + good health.
The Widow’s Project | Western Kenya
Widows in Western Kenya often lose far more than a husband. Many lose security, land, protection, legal rights, and social standing. In the communities where we serve, widows are often blamed for their husband’s death and viewed as carrying a curse, leaving many pushed to the margins of society — isolated, abandoned, and deeply vulnerable.
Through The Widows’ Project, we come alongside these women as they rebuild stability, restore dignity, and strengthen relationships within their communities. Together with local leaders, we build safe homes and create spaces of support through mentorship programs, table banking groups, leadership retreats, and ongoing community care.
More than building homes, this work is about reminding widows they are seen, valued, and not forgotten.
June 21 - Sunday — Morning flight from Nairobi to Kisumu. We will head north on an hour drive + cross the equator on the way. In the afternoon we will visit one of the widows who will be receiving a new home.
June 22 - Monday — Meeting both widows + visiting the building sites, meeting the building crews, praying over the properties + new homes. Pray for the widows, their children, and the surrounding communities to come together in unity. That the love, presence, and power of Jesus would be recognized and felt.
Pray that the team gets really solid rest as we have a BIG trek the following day.
Want to help bring HOPE to a widow?
Remote Village | Karia Village, Pokot Tribe
Our team is heading to the remote village of Karia in northern Kenya, where we’ll spend time among the Pokot people.
The Pokot are a strong and deeply relational community, living in a dry, expansive region where life is closely tied to the land and to one another. Resources are extremely limited, and many communities are far from schools, medical care, and consistent support.
In Karia, something new is beginning. Through the leadership of our local partners, a church and a school are creating a place where families can gather, children can learn, girls can be protected from becoming child brides, and faith can grow.
June 23 - Tuesday — Very early in the morning we will hit the road on a 6+ hour trek to a remote village that was unchurched just five years ago. Once we arrive we will visit with the locals, share a meal, and go visit a nearby Boma (family compund).
Pray for the team that they will soak in the wonder of God’s creation and experience His deep abiding peace. (And experience a solid nights rest)
Bushfire School | Karia Village
June 24 - Wednesday — We will be waking up to God’s glorious wide open land and visiting these beautiful children at the school, which is on the same compound where we are staying. We will enjoy some fun activities with the kids and then head over to the new church where we will meet with the discipleship group. Then we will pack up and head back to Western Kenya for the next days events. Pray for the teachers and staff of this school and church, that they will feel God’s nearness, encouragement, and heart for this place and these people, they are serving. Pray for the people to continue to love and trust Jesus and to have a deeper understanding of what it means to love and serve Him. Pray that God continues to make Himself and His ways known and that the things of their culture that oppose His ways would be dismissed — while the beautiful God-honoring pieces of their culture would continue to shine.
Pray for our team. By this time the team members have journeyed far and experienced much. Pray that God shows them ways to unpack and process what He has to show them. Pray for the team to continue to hold together and spur one another on. And strong immunity, health for all.

Jigger Clinics
Jiggers are painful parasitic fleas that live in the soil and earthen floors of homes. They burrow into the skin, causing intense itching, infection, and, if left untreated, serious damage to hands and feet.
Through local clinics and consistent home follow-up care, children and vulnerable adults can be treated and restored to health — often becoming jigger-free within two weeks.
June 25 - Thursday — Today, our team will be visiting a jigger treatment clinic, spending time with the People with Disabilities empowerment group, and gathering with the Widows’ Project mentorship group.
Please pray for the children and adults affected by jiggers - that they would not only receive care, but deeply experience the love of a God who sees them, knows them, and cares for them. Pray for dignity, healing, and comfort for each person we encounter today.
Pray this same covering over every individual in each of these groups - that they would feel seen, valued, and not alone. That they would be reminded of how dearly God loves them and is providing for them.
Pray for our team—that in the midst of the day, we would slow down enough to make meaningful, genuine connections. That conversations would be natural, relationships would form easily, and that we would carry presence, compassion, and care into every interaction.

Savior King Ed. Center | Kibera Slum, Nairobi
June 26 - Friday — Today we’ll be flying back to Nairobi and spending time at Saviour King Educational Center in Kibera.
Please pray for the 650+ children and all of the staff who faithfully show up each day. Pray for the young mamas in the empowerment and training program, for the onsite medical clinic, the therapist, and the social worker who care for both physical and emotional needs in this community.
Pray especially for the Omolo family, who lead this entire ministry—that they would be strengthened, encouraged, and deeply supported in the work they carry.
Pray for our team—that we would have meaningful conversations, ask thoughtful questions, and continue to come in as learners. That we would have the energy to fully show up, to love these kids well, and to genuinely honor and appreciate the incredible staff who make this place what it is.
June 27 - Saturday — Today we’ll return to Kibera and spend time visiting widows in their homes.
Pray for these women—that they would feel seen, valued, and deeply cared for. That our presence would be gentle, honoring, and safe. Pray for meaningful connection, for listening hearts, and for moments that remind each woman she is not alone.
Later, we’ll head to the Garden of Eden Children’s Home, where we will stay for the next two nights. The children in this home are some of the most at-risk from Kibera. The Omolo family has created a safe, family-centered environment—a place of protection, belonging, and care.
Pray over this home—that it would continue to be a place of safety, stability, and hope for every child who lives there.
June 28 - Sunday — Today we will attend Saviour King Church, also founded and led by the Omolo family.
Pray for those sharing messages—that their words would be clear, grounded, and encouraging. Pray for the children—that they would feel joy, safety, and a deep sense of being known and loved.
Pray for the church community as a whole—that it would continue to grow as a place of truth, connection, and steady presence in the middle of a complex and challenging environment.
Kibera is one of the most densely populated and under-resourced communities in the world. Families here live close to the edge — where one illness, one missed day of work, can unravel stability. Children grow up navigating hunger, health risks, and very limited protection.
In the middle of that reality stands Savior King Educational Center.
For more than 650 severely at-risk children, this school provides safety, security and steadiness. Teachers notice when something is off. Home visits take place by a social worker. Care extends beyond the classroom and into families.
Education and care here is holistic. Song and dance are a key component — celebrating culture while building confidence. Technology and curriculum expand imagination and create opportunity. A medical clinic helps keep them safe + healthy. Young single mamas are trained and discipled. Grandparents and elderly guardians receive support. The school becomes a relational safety net for the entire family unit.
This is on-the-ground formation — mind, body, and spirit — strengthening a generation to know God and make Him known.

Maasai Mara | Safari + Respite
Our Global Partners are carrying work that never really stops. We place a high value on helping provide respite—a holy pause—where they can step out of constant demand and into God’s creation, rest, and renewal. We believe in holistic care, and that includes the leaders, so they can be refilled and continue the work with strength and long-term sustainability.
June 29 to July 1 — Drive to Maasai Mara, go on a game drive, spend time with the Omolo’s, and rest.
The Dignity Project | Lily Among Thorns Young Mama’s Group - Kibera
July 2 - Thursday — Spend time with The Dignity Project (young Mama’s empowerment group) in Kibera Slum + do an activity with the School Arts Program. Pray these young mamas continue to learn skills to create an income for their children, that their relationships with Jesus continue to deepen, and that they continue to take advantage of the trauma-therapy available to them.
July 3 - Friday — Spend the day packing, leave late to fly back home.
Join us as we step into the story unfolding in Kenya—walking alongside our Global Partners, local leaders, and the communities they faithfully serve. From Kibera to remote villages, this trip reflects what it looks like to come alongside, to learn, support, and be present.
You’ll see glimpses of the Hope Project, the Widows Project, and the Dignity Project—where holistic care is creating real, lasting impact. This is more than a trip. It’s relationship, restoration, and a reminder that every person is seen, valued, and not forgotten. God is on the move.
